Finally - Our House Pictures!
I know that this is old news by now, but here are our house pictures, almost six months after we moved in. You can view the slideshow and it will show you the Before and After photos.
Now that it's all over, I have to take a few moments to thank all those who made it possible... First, all of our family members who helped us paint. Almost every single person in our families helped us at one time or another get rid of our white walls, and after 20-something different colors of paint, we are extremely grateful!
Thanks to my awesome inlaws and brother-in-law, Jared, who helped us with the Great Yard Project of 2007! This included shoveling 12 yards of dirt/mulch, laying out countless bricks to line our flowerbeds, expanding our back patio, and planting many, many plants. Oh, not to mention, letting the plants we bought last year stay on their back porch for months before we even moved in.
Thanks to my dad and my father-in-law for figuring out how to install a wood laminate floor and doing an awesome job of it!
More thanks to my father-in-law for installing our attic floor, building a spice rack for our pantry, intalling a new sink in the guest bathroom, cutting tile, cutting bricks, and all of the other things I'm sure I'm forgetting! And more thanks to my dad for helping with crown molding, helping with the installation of the desk, and for buying a jet ski for the lake. (Okay, that last one is totally unrelated, but we sure do like it anyway!)
I can't say enough thanks to my brother, Jesse. This boy amazes me! He transformed our studio from a boring, non-functioning room into an amazing work area with three very big, very pretty, and very functional built in desks! He also built our wonderful, amazing mantle for our living room - another transformation that is just short of miraculous! We picked this house because of the vision that we had for the Studio, and Jesse made that vision a reality. None of us knew what a huge task we were creating when we started brainstorming with, "What if we could..." Jess, you're the bomb!!
There are tons of other little things that people helped us with that were huge blessings to us, but I can't remember all six months worth of projects, so forgive me for not mentioning more. I'll just end by saying a final thank you to my wonderful husband, Jason, who listened to me whine, complain, argue, and second-guess through the whole process. This was my first home-buying experience, so I'll admit I didn't handle it all with grace. But, we made it through anyway - hallelujah!
If you're in a rush and just want the highlights, here are a few:

This is the view from the back door:

This is part of the desks Jesse built for the Studio. It is so massive, it all won't fit into one picture!

This is the Mantle that Jesse built:

Those are just a few pictures. You can click on the album above for the full collection. God has blessed us very, very much, and we are so thankful that He has provided such a nice house for us to call home. We look forward to years and years of serving Him as a family here!
In Gideon news (because I can't seem to have a post without this subject), his first birthday is TOMORROW! Ah yes, be prepared for more pictures and more commentary!
