Return to Cyberland

I know, I know... it's been quite some time since I've contributed to the vast amount of useless information in Cyberland. I'll make the excuses short and simple:

  1. We're still working on house stuff. It's an old excuse, but it's still the case. We're getting close though. (I know; you've heard that before). I'd promise pictures soon, but you'd know by now that I'd be lying.
  2. Thankfully, I've also been a little busy with some fun things - a family vacation to the Lake, a visit with some college roomies, a weekend lake trip with the girls, parties with the family... good stuff that makes for great blogging material, should I have time to blog!
  3. Other than the house, there are a few other projects that have demanded (and will continue to demand) quite a bit of my time. These are including, but not limited to, the following: a new writing project, a teaching opportunity at church, Gideon's baby book and scrapbook, a new sewing project, and planning Gideon's 1st birthday party (which is why the baby book and scrapbook have suddenly taken on such a high priority).
  4. Finally, I'll admit, I was in a bad mood for about a month. If you're a woman and have ever had a baby, you understand. If you're a woman but have never had a baby, you still understand. And if you don't fall into either of the previous categories, you probably don't even care. But, it's the truth. I even got sick of myself sometimes!!

In Gideon news, we're having the best time with him these days. He's got five little teeth, with one more on the way. He's babbling like crazy with plenty of da-da-da-da's and ma-ma-ma-ma's here and there. He's not walking yet, but has become very confident in standing and walking while holding on to furniture. As usual, we can't get enough of him and are so enjoying every day! Click here for a few quick pix from June. (Disclaimer - some are very blurry because I'm not getting along with our camera, but I'll try to do better next time). I'm trying to start an online album to make for easier viewing because I hate posting pix in the blog, but it's just the beginning.

And, as a bonus, click here for the "book" that Gideon and I wrote for Jason for Father's Day. It turned out really sweet, and Jason really liked it. It is one of those photobooks that you design online and order, and I was quite impressed with the way it turned out.

That's all for now. Thanks to those who have missed the posts. I'll try to be better!
