Mommy Moment

Last week Gideon and I were both a little congested because of the yucky, rainy weather and the junk going around. We had fun with the nasal aspirator, the saline nose drops, and a cool mist Vicks humidifier which finally did the trick. And, I quickly got used to him rubbing his snotty nose on my shoulder after sneezing. No big deal; I'm a mommy. I can handle it.

One morning, I had put him down for his nap and was taking advantage of the time to get some things done around the house. It had been a good hour or so when I happened to glance in the mirror as I walked by. I stopped. I did a double-take. Did I see what I thought I saw? Oh yes. There, as big as day on my left earlobe, was a huge glob of snot hanging from my ear like an earring! And yes, it had been there all morning, apparently. I just had to laugh...so this is what it means to be a mommy! :-)
