Happy Easter!
Easter came and went in the Ryan household, and it was a wonderful, but very busy, day indeed. As always, it was difficult to keep the real meaning of Easter from being overshadowed by eggs and bunnies and candy, but hopefully every year we can incorporate more and more practical ways to do so as parents.
But one of the traditions that I will always love, no matter how unbiblical, is getting new outfits for Easter. I'll admit that I went a little overboard this year, but man, it sure was fun!!

This was Gideon's first year to hunt eggs, and we weren't sure if he would catch on or not, but he knew exactly what to do! He loved putting the eggs in his basket, and survived three whole Easter egg hunts that day!

Apparently, all that egg hunting can be hard work!

And, as a bonus, here are some other pictures from this super-eventful past week. First, we have Gideon and his boy cousins all hanging out at the rodeo celebrating Dallen's first birthday. The plan was to get a really cute picture of the four of them in their matching Texas shirts and boots. At least we tried...

Then, here are Gideon and the birthday boy (and me and Sharla) enjoying a kiddie ride.

Finally, here are two merry-go-round pictures. The first is from the rodeo, and the second is from our impromptu day trip to the downtown Aquarium yesterday when my cousin was in town from Michigan.

It was definitely a good Easter...birthday party...rodeo...trip...WEEK!
