Snow...in Houston?

Our church's Christmas Festival was a huge success! It was completely packed on Saturday, with kids coming in from every angle, and it was pretty full on Sunday, despite the rain. We had a great time!! Gideon got to play in the man-made snow, and he loved it! He also loved the petting zoo and was very excited when the camel marched right in front of us during the nativity part of the program. (" 'amel, 'amel!" he kept saying.)

The class I teach on Sundays (Pink Armor) was in charge of the "Snowman Ornaments" craft booth, so we helped kids make hundreds of ornaments for their trees. If I never see another glue dot, it will be just fine with me!

Everything was amazing, from the festival full of rock walls and snow and face painting and inflatables, to the program complete with live animals, aerialists, dancers, and the 50-foot Christmas tree. If I do say so myself, my husband did an awesome job! It took thousands of manhours to make a project like this possible, but if just one life was changed, the nights of his hard work and us missing him was worth it. Hopefully, we'll do it all again next year!
