The Big Bed Boycott

When we got home from our Disney World vacation, (details on that to come in a future post), we unpacked all of Gideon's things in his new room. He had been helping us get it ready for a few weeks before, so he knew it was his "new room." And he had slept in one of the double beds (with rails) in our hotel room, so we figured he was officially ready to say goodbye to the crib.

He did great for a couple of days. He stayed in his new twin bed and slept through the night just fine. Then... Ike. That's right. I blame Ike. No sooner had we unpacked our suitcases than we had to repack them and stay at my inlaws until our power was restored.

And at their house, Gideon still sleeps in a crib.

So, now that we're back home, we've had a rocky relationship with the new bed. Instead of his brand new, super-cute, very comfy new bed, here is where he would rather sleep...

At least it's a step up from the floor, which was his bed of choice for a few nights. But come on. At least unroll the Elmo couch so you don't have to squish up on it like a bunch of rubber snakes stuffed into a can!

And so, the battle of the big boy bed continues... Thanks a lot, Ike.
